The Challenge

This made it difficult for the company to attract non-IT people and developers. It is also difficult to learn, which made it inaccessible to creative teams. Not to mention that, in the year 2020, it is quite challenging to   to sell software that looks old.
We needed to:

  1. Turn it from On-Premises to a SaaS platform.
  2. Take the whole UX process in the software and build new modules that would be very clear and easy to use by any end user, including art & designers, marketing, editors, finance etc.
  3. Change the UI to from 1999 to 2020 and build a new design system.

User Research

The task was to take the software intended only for developers and examine what the needs of the company’s various customers.
These are the types of customers the company targets:

  1. Marketing people needs the quick capabilities to measure results of the content marketed through the software without going through the technicals modules.
  2. Creative roles need the ability to control the module of design and editing in a familiar way from softwares they are used to working with.
  3. Advertising agencies are actually "one stop shop" of all the capabilities in the process. In addition they need the capabilities to grant permissions to modules by roles within the agency.

The Solution

Following an agile work process, we analyzed each module individually, built it in short sprints and examined each step with customers and users.
From now on, the software will work according to the module structure with the new design system.

The MVP

The first goal in our agile work process was to create an MVP of the main process.
The MVP should go through all the steps including the last stage of content broadcasting to the screens.

1. Create a layout
Setup a new project
Creating the layout
2. Add resources
Add content
Content scheduling
3. Upload content to servers
Connect the project to the screen
Upload to the server
4. Live broadcast
Analyze the content
